The US and China are locked in conflict over everything from Tik Tok to trade, geopolitics, and military power. Kevin Lin, Ashley Smith, Lee Wengraf, and Yueran Zhang will discuss the nature of their conflict, its impact on the world, and how to build international solidarity against imperial rivalry.
Ashley Smith is a socialist writer and activist in Burlington, Vermont. He has written in numerous publications including Truthout, Spectre, Tempest, Jacobin, New Politics, and Against the Current.
Yueran Zhang is Assistant Professor of Sociology and the College at the University of Chicago. He studies the class politics of China’s transition from state socialism to capitalism.
