Socialism 2024 has ended
Saturday August 31, 2024 3:00pm - 4:30pm CDT
The Venezuelan Left-Populist experience of the late 1990s and early 2000s was characterized by mass participation, hope, and expectations. How do we understand how and why those high-points have degenerated into the challenging and desperate situation for Venezuelans today? This session will give voice to perspectives of the Venezuelan experience that the US left doesn't often get to hear from, contextualized in the rise and fall of the Pink Tide.
